Acupuncture

After years of practice, we are confident that acupuncture can do far more than pain relief, its most famous effect. Acupuncture is helpful for, but not limited to treating, the following:

1.  ACC-relevant injuries include sports injuries, sprained muscles, joint (shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, ankle) pain, and tendinitis.
2.  Internal disorders include headache/migraine, trigeminal neuralgia, indigestion, insomnia, palpitation, edema.
3.  Gynecological issues include irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, menopausal syndrome, and infertility.
4.  Emotional issues, such as anxiety, depression, nervousness, and neurosis.
5.  Health maintenance includes fatigue, weight management, and post-covid syndrome.

According to the policy of ACC, acupuncturists cannot apply for ACC claim number for clients. But registered acupuncturists can treat a client with a valid ACC claim number (usually applied by a GP, physiotherapist, chiropractor, osteopath, etc.).

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners, including herbalists, address various conditions. Here's a general overview:

1. Musculoskeletal Issues: Pain, stiffness, injuries (strains, sprains) - Arthritis, back pain, headaches.
2. Digestive Problems: Diarrhea, constipation, indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
3. Respiratory Issues: Allergies, asthma, common colds, coughs.
4. Gynecological Concerns: Irregular periods, menstrual cramps, menopausal symptoms.
5. Mental and Emotional Health: Anxiety, depression, insomnia.
6. Skin Conditions: Eczema, urticaria, acne, chloasma, psoriasis.
7. General Wellness: Fatigue, immune system support.

Important to Note:

* TCM diagnoses differ from Western medicine. A TCM practitioner will assess your condition based on TCM principles, not just symptoms.
* TCM often emphasizes overall balance. An herbal formula might target the root cause of an issue, not just the immediate symptoms.
* Conditions requiring urgent medical attention should not solely rely on TCM. Always consult a doctor for serious health concerns.

Remember:  While TCM offers a variety of potential benefits, it's crucial to approach it with realistic expectations and prioritize safety by consulting qualified practitioners.
